Dr. William Dar, ICRISAT Director General met Philippines’ President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap on 24 January 2007. The Philippine leaders gave their full support to collaboration on sweet sorghum bioethanol technology with ICRISAT. Five Philippine companies have formed a consortium with ICRISAT and Rusni Distilleries to implement pro-poor sweet sorghum bioethanol technology in the island nation. |
