Following the protocols developed at ICRISAT, sorghum transgenics for resistance to spotted stem borer, Chilo partellus have been produced and evaluated. These transgenics are at various stages of development and testing. However, we need to enhance our efforts on developing more transgenic events with new gene constructs in the near future. The status of sorghum transgenics being developed by ICRISAT is listed in the following table.
