The Global theme on Institutions, Markets, Policy and Impacts has collected district level database for India from 1966 onwards and retained in a database. The files are stored in Foxpro version 2. The files can be retrieved as Foxpro files or QPRO (spreadsheet) or Excel files. Details follow,

1The districts in this database relate to 1966 base, i.e. data pertaining to districts formed after 1966 were given back to their"parent" districts, and new districts were then removed from the file.
