Technical Support for a Large-scale Plantation of Acacia senegal based Biodiversity Garden

Justification

The Acacia senegal based bioreclamation of degraded lands will be used by PAC (Programme d'Action Communautaire) - World Bank supported program in Niger and private sector to plant a total area of 25,000 hectares within a time span of four years.

ICRISAT will give all technical support to this project including supply of quality Acacia senegal seeds, supply of scions of selected varieties, supply of propagation materials for the wide range of species to grow in the plantations, support to nurseries, training, support for the establishment of the biodiversity gardens, sociological and economic studies.
