Administrative Associate – ICRISAT Development Center

ICRISAT seeks application for the position of Administrative Associate under ICRISAT Development Center of Asia Program. This position is based at ICRISAT- Patancheru, Telangana.

ICRISAT is a non-profit, non-political organization that conducts agricultural research for development in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa with a wide array of partners throughout the world. ICRISAT and its partners help empower those living in the semi-arid tropics, especially smallholder farmers, to overcome poverty, hunger, malnutrition and a degraded environment through more efficient and profitable agriculture.

ICRISAT is headquartered in Patancheru near Hyderabad, India, with two regional hubs and five country offices in sub-Saharan Africa. ICRISAT, established in 1972, is a member of the CGIAR Consortium. For more details, see www.icrisat.org. 


    • Provide administrative and secretarial support;
    • Assist Special Project budgets;
    • Support in preparing power point presentations and reports;;
    • Coordinate and organize of internal and external meetings(Visitors, programs, seminars and workshops) and take follow-up actions;
    • Coordinate activities related to preparation of Archival reports, progress reports, media briefs etc.
    • Make travel arrangements and prepare travel expense reports;
    • Handle correspondence;
    • Inter-departmental liaison;
    • Additional duties as and when they evolve.


  • Graduate with 3 or more years of relevant experience;
  • Highly proficient in MS-Office suite, with special reference to PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Ability to deal tactfully under pressure situations, deliver under tight schedules, and maintain high degree of confidentiality;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with pleasing personality. 


  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in Computer skills (Ms- Office, data analysis)
  • Proficiency in Shorthand skills preferable
  • Should be a good team player and adaptable to working in multicultural team. 


This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position for three years’ renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position.
