FAO nod to India’s ‘Year of Millets – 2023’ proposal

“Good evening from Rome. India presented a proposal for International Year of Millets in FAO Council on 5 December. We succeeded in convincing FAO Council and it has been endorsed for 2023. Africa Regional group, Asia regional group, EU, Russian Federation, China, Sudan, Kenya, Cuba, Austria, Afghanistan, Thailand, Egypt, Senegal, Mali supported the Indian proposal openly,” said Dr Suresh K Malhotra.
