Officer – Transport and Facilities

ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the position of Officer-Transport and Facilities. The position is based at ICRISAT-Patancheru.

Responsibilities: 

Transport:

  • Over all in charge of Daily operations for Transport
  • Transport and Partner management from operational perspective
  • Regular interaction with the employees through formal and informal meetings for improvement in transport services and handle employee escalations
  • Adherence to SLAs including statutory and non-statutory compliance
  • Ensure effective implementation of Transport processes and systems and document processes where not in place
  • Identify checks & alterations in the Transport system and highlight improvement areas
  • Work closely with Security team to ensure Safety checks and standards as per SOW defined in the agreement
  • Represent Transport team for meetings with research units on Transport issues
  • Tracking, Routing
  • MIS –
    Preparing & sharing monthly Transport MIS and ensuring its accuracy
    Ensure timely invoice generation, accuracy in checking & release of vendor payments as per agreed terms.
    Ensure Vendor / Operational and Management reports are submitted and shared on daily basis

Facilities

  • Interface between Operation unit and other service unit
  • Achieves financial objectives by anticipating requirements; submitting information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs; analysing variances
  • Ensuring that institute meets government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Reports and Dashboards:
    • Ensure the generation of monthly reports and dashboards covering all key parameters of cost, highlighting areas which are getting overrun or underutilized
  • Health, Safety & Environment:
    • Review EHS of each location in coordination with the local team as per set monthly dates for adherence to complete guidelines
  • BCP
    • Monitoring and testing of BCP as per institute policy

Requirements:

Graduate in any discipline with minimum 8 -10 years of experience in managing transport and facilities.

General:

This is a Locally Recruited Staff [LRS] position for three years, and extendable depending on performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position.
