Mr. Bollam Srinivas is Manager at the Agri-Business Incubator (ABI) and BioNcube at ICRISAT, where he works on agribusiness incubation, innovation ecosystem development, technology commercialisation, entrepreneurship programmes, and multi-stakeholder partnerships across agri-food systems. His work focuses on supporting startups, strengthening incubation platforms, promoting technology transfer, designing capacity-building programmes, and advancing inclusive agribusiness models for smallholder farmers, youth, women entrepreneurs, and rural enterprises. He brings a combined science and business background, with professional training in Technology Management in Agriculture.
Before joining ICRISAT, he worked at the Indian Institute of Millets Research, where he played a key role in establishing NutriHub — a millets-based technology business incubator supporting startups, technology transfer, market linkages, and millet-based enterprise development. He helped establish the BIRAC BioNEST incubator at BITS Pilani, Goa, supporting biotechnology entrepreneurship, laboratory setup, startup engagement, and innovation infrastructure development. He also contributed to contributed to national innovation programs through SRISTI–Techpedia and the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Awards program.
Over his career, he has supported hundreds of entrepreneurs and startups, contributed to donor-funded and government-supported innovation programmes, and engaged with national and international partners across India, Africa, and Europe to promote agribusiness development, South–South collaboration, and sustainable food systems innovation.
