About the event
The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) has been selected to host the South Asia hub of Breeding Resources, part of CGIAR’s Breeding for Tomorrow (B4T) Science Program.
Breeding Resources offers a harmonized, scalable model for shared services and tools that support modern, data-driven breeding operations. This partnership is a milestone for crop improvement in the region. The South Asia hub will play a central role in delivering critical breeding services - including genotyping, phenotyping, data management, analytics, and training - across CGIAR and national breeding programs located in South Asia.
Webinar objectives:
- Introduce the Breeding Resources–ICRISAT partnership and what it means for ICRISAT, CGIAR, and partners in South Asia
- Promote the range of services available through Breeding Resources and how they can support breeding modernization
- Address frequently asked questions raised by current service users
- Foster an interactive dialogue with stakeholders and gather feedback on service priorities and needs
- Engage both public and private sector partners, including those from hybrid research consortia
